I heart NY.

So I went to New York last week to have a lightweight vacay with my family who live in San Diego. I know, I know, vacay in NY, in January? Sounds kind of ridiculous seeing that many east coasters would prefer to be elsewhere this time of year. Regardless, it was so much fun. The weather was not too shabby, and even baby Maxton was enjoying the big city...

The beautiful New York Public Library, as seen in many movies, including Breakfast at Tiffany's, and SATC.

At the moment, my most favorite desert place, Momofuku Milk Bar.

Mmmmm a slice of the banana cake. The service can be shifty, but everything is the bomb here, and I always bring back cookies for my loved ones. It's the best souvenir really.

Yay, NYC Hello Kitty! More pictures to come....

Delayed.

I'm here at SFO airport on my way to New York City, again! My flight has been delayed for a couple of hours due to the rainy weather we've been having. I'll be there till the weekend, a trip that will involve fashion, food, family, and of course, fun! I will be documenting everything, as always... Will post photos when I return! Hope you all have a great week and weekend..

Brunch at The Palace.

Last weekend was Belle's birthday. She invited us to have brunch at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco. This place ain't no ordinary brunch spot. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and as soon as you walk in, a sense of fanciness comes upon you. Well, at least for me it did. Both the 19th century decor and high ornate ceiling put me in another time. Brunch is all-you-can-eat buffet and bottomless mimosas. Or endless champagne toasting, if o.j. isn't your thing. This all takes place in a 3-hour period, and needless to say, we closed the place down!
The birthday girl.
The entertainment.
My desert sampling.
The ladies.
Afterwards, we all went to Shotwell and purchased matching friendship rings. I love these girls...

Ferragamos

Every time I pick up a pair of vintage/used Ferragamos, they are always AAA narrow. Even if they are in my gigantore modern size (8.5-9) they never fit because of the width. Well this past weekend was a first.
I finally own a pair of Ferragamo flats!!! In great condition too. Did I mention they were priced at $22.00 at Crossroads? The shopping gods are watching over me... Thank you.

Ring in the New Year.

Andy was invited to do live painting at a fancy pants party on New Year's Eve. It worked out since we didn't have any plans for the big night. I had thought about buying a dress, but after swarming the stores on December 31st, it wasn't going to happen. I had to work with what was in my closet, and in the end, it was perfect.
The night's bling.
The party took place at the Westin St. Francis in Union Square. Fancy!!
skirt, Target. top, H&M. blazer, Crossroads. heels, Payless.

I hope you all had a memorable night, whatever you did! 2009 was so much fun, can't wait for all the things to come in 2010!!!
Lots of love and happiness to you in the new year.
